Vases

DescriptionChinese vaseDimensionsn/a
Date19th c.
Smithn/a
ProvenanceUnknown
Date purchasedUnknownPrice paidUnknown
Suppliers descriptionYour vase in made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China as far as I can tell during the first decade of the 20th century. An insurance valuation would be USD 1,000 to cover replacement costs of a similar vase. This is because the decoration is particular and recognizable of a certain fine tipped painting style. This is not generally understood on the market but I recognize it anyway. The inspiration is probably culled from better Japanese Seto porcelain of that period and adapted to Chinese late Qing Kangxi revival style. Any ordinary vase from this period would be worth maybe USD 250-300.
